Pay Per Action (PPA) — PPA programs compensate their affiliates when prospects take certain actions. You can earn money through these programs when a prospect downloads a program or tries a service being offered by the merchant.
Pay Per Lead(PPL) — Every time a potential client registers at the merchant's website as a result of the advertisement on the affiliate's account, a previously determined amount is deposited into the affiliate's account.
The two most common compensation models are PPS and PPL.
For many website owners, this is a great way to earn some extra money without actually having to "do" anything. Even though you do not have to fulfill any orders or answer any customer service questions to make money with affiliate marketing, your job of getting visitors to your merchants is just as challenging.
