How to Find the Legitimate and Best Paid Survey Online

If you have pondered about ways to make money online, I am sure that you have run into paid surveys in the past. With so many paid survey programs circulating across the internet, These advertisements are not the only places people can go to find paid online surveys either. There are services that offer consumers the chance to access a database of paid online surveys. It is important to note that while many of these offers may be legitimate, most others may be misleading.

Paid online surveys advertised by pop ups usually aren’t legitimate. Companies that offer these promotions merely gather the surveyors’ personal information and sell it to marketing firms. Once these companies have a person’s name, address, email address, and phone number, they bombard the person with telemarketing calls, spam emails, junk mail and unwanted catalogues. These types of scams are obnoxious, but they do not really cost the consumer any money.

A middleman site that promises to give people access to a database of paid survey opportunities can cost money. These websites connect people to survey sites after the people subscribe to the service by paying a fee. Most of the time, the sites in the database are easy to access on the Internet and do not need the middleman sites, making the database useless. These sites also make money by selling the subscriber’s personal information.

There are a number of websites that offer true opportunities to make money taking paid online surveys. These sites pay modestly, but deliver what they promise. It is important to read the find print before deciding to take a paid online survey. Many of them contradict their promises of payment in the fine print, resulting in wasted time.

How do you figure out what survey sites are the best to join? You can do a number of things, however, I would suggest you do the following:

  • Search in your favorite search engine for these sites. Use keywords such as "paid surveys" and "surveys for cash" or another string of keywords you wish to use.
  • Upon finding a few sites, do some more research by searching the sites name as a keyword. When I find a paid survey site that I may like, I generally go to Google and type in the sites name, followed by "scam". This will usually pull up reviews of the site, good or bad. Reminder: Some people actually use the word "scam" as a keyword in their ads to lure you to their site. The program might not even be a scam, but they use this technique as that keyword gets more searches in the search engines.
  • After doing some research on the company, make sure they pay when they say that they do. This is obviously one of the most important criteria for joining a paid survey site. If they don't pay, or don't pay on time, you are going to be wasting a lot of time doing surveys and getting nothing in return.
Paid online surveys can be a good deal, those that offer small payment or rewards are more likely to be honest than those that promise huge cash rewards.
